This programme is designed for you, if you wish to study any Bachelor’s program related to business, commerce or tourism at Budapest Business University but your professional/Mathematics skills are not yet on a level to start a university programme. Your eligibility will be evaluated during the online admission interview and Mathematics test. For those applicants who do not reach the minimum level during the Mathematics test the foundation semester is mandatory.

The Mathematics test and online interview must be completed even if you are sure about starting with a foundation semester.

The foundation semester can be a crucial step before starting university, as business programs are extremely advanced, and require a high level of professional preparedness. Don’t worry; the professors have a long experience in introducing you to even the most complicated skills, thus you will start your university years full of confidence.

Please keep in mind that it is not possible to only apply for the foundation programme. This means that we are also considering your application for the major you indicate even if your professional/Mathematics knowledge do not allow you to join it directly.

Please indicate the major you would like to study after the foundation semester either in your motivation letter or at the “additional information” section of your applictaion profile.

Please be advised that the foundation semester is offered by a partner institution of BBU. This means that you would complete the programme at our partner institution and they would manage all steps after a positive decision about your admission. Once you have completed the programme, you can join your major directly at BBU.
