The AACSB accreditation of our university has reached an important milestone

The Committee of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) approved the preliminary application of Budapest Business School (BBS) in February of this year. Therefore, our university can now begin the international accreditation process of one of the most recognised and prestigious global quality assurance organisations in the field of business education.

The Committee considered BBS to be in a suitably qualified position to meet the standards set forth by the AACSB within the required time frame. AACSB accreditation is a globally recognised special form of accreditation that can only be obtained by higher education business institutions or by some of their programmes. Accreditation is a voluntary process that involves an external review of the institution’s mission, the qualifications of faculty and researchers, and the curricula. In addition to the high quality of the accredited institutions, the certification also proves that they offer their educational programmes along a consistent mission, with excellent instructors, relevant theoretical and practical curricula, and outstanding scientific and research activities.

In the future, with the help of a mentor appointed by the AACSB, we will continue the work we have begun, in order to ensure that in the near future, BBS will join the ranks of the best business universities in the world as an accredited university.
